Now that Alberta’s Licensed Practical Nurses have access to a free immunization course, the Fredrickson-McGregor Education Foundation for LPNs has removed that course from its grant eligibility list as of July 31, 2020.

To administer immunizations in Alberta, LPNs must have immunization training either from their basic nursing program or from the learning module available from the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). To access this Immunization Self-Study Module, CLPNA members can log in to myCLPNA.
